Here is my written tutorial of how to use SVN links.
In the forum or description of the Addon you want, it may have an SVN url link. If you have tortoise svn, which i like to use, copy the url. Then follow these steps.
1. Go into your C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\<Your Steam Username here>\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons folder
2. Make a folder, just, name it New Folder for now
3. Right click the folder and in the menus that pops up, click "Svn Checkout"
4. Paste the Svn Url in the Url box. To find an svn URL, go to [url]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=SVN_Links[/url] for all of the SVN links.
5. Hit OK and let it download.
6. Rename the folder whatever mod it is, ex. Gcombat 08
-----------------Possible Problem-------------------------
1. The New Folder holds a file named "Addons"
-----------------How to fix Problem-----------------------
Go into the addons folder and drag that file Into the C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\<Your Steam Username here>\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons beside the Folder, "New Folder"
I hope this helps!
That makes little to no sense. I know you're trying to be helpful, but try breaking it into steps.

Naa, a grammar nazi isn't as calm. They wig out when you misspell something. Its more, Constructive Criticism, if you will.
There are already tutorials. Much easier to read ones too, with pictures...whatever.
You should cover using the export option as apparently it can help stop loadin time increases, which I have never experienced myself.

......
I dont know anything about that option.
I only use tortise svn for gmod files, Nor do i put files on [url]www.garrysmod.org[/url]
And there are many people that know nothing about svn. It took me like a month to find a tutorial.

Instead of checking out the folder into your addons, which adds extra folders that are hidden with a option disabled, you check the addon out to somewhere like My Documents. You then use export to move the addon to addons how it should be. The only bonus is that it stops the hidden files being made, but ti takes twice as long.
Also if it took you a month to find a goo d tutorial you can't have looked hard. Divran made one, and it got put on the Wiki too. Easy enough to find.

How is that better? You download the files into the folder on your computer, not straight into the addons folder where they will be all over the friggin place. Either explain what you meant a little better or Reread, one of the two.
OP I only see an untidy wall of text that attracts nothing.
Consider using BBcode. I you don't know what that shit is, you shouldn't be posting.
But, I suppose you don't know.... [url=http://www.facepunch.com/misc.php?do=bbcode]Have a look at this shit[/url]
