Yeah, Can't spawn Portal stuff in Garry's mod...Everytime I click on one of the icons to spawn a prop Garry's mod closes and Windows 7 says "hl2.exe has stop working"
Does anybody now whats up ?
do you have portal?
If you do, then right click steam.exe (Or hl2.exe if you have it non steam), go to compatibility, and in the drop down menu press windows xp service pack 2. Do to same for C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\your steam name\garrysmod\hl2.exe.
also try the other portal models. What are you trying to spawn?

The best advice I can give you is to make sure its mounted. If it is, then try redownloading the Portal .gcf's.

To see if an Garry's Mod-compatible game is mounted, open GMod, and in the main menu, there should be GMod Settings. Open it, and see if Portal is ticked. If not, tick it and restart the game.
