• Horrible experience with ukgame.com

Right, so we were looking for a new euro server, there's really not that many options out there but we went with ukgame.com, they seemed large, professional and established. I ordered my server with the knowledge that they had a 3 day money back guarantee, I checked the ToS to make sure there wasn't any silly small print. It's nice to have a money back guarantee just in case their servers turn out dodgy or something. Anyway, literally an hour after ordering we discovered that it definitely wasn't up to par. I sent in a request for cancellation and a refund. A day later I contact them and politely enquire as to the status of my refund as per the guarantee, they state I made no such request. I respond explaining that I had and they had a guarantee as per their front page. They respond saying I'd canceled the server via their automatic system and that's not covered by their ToS. I looked back at the ToS I'd saved and by golly, they'd actualy edit'd their ToS just so they didn't have to give me a refund, the edit even shows up in google cache! Incidentally, in the preamble, it is also stated that "These terms were updated on 29th Aug 2010", which is also not true. A quick comparison with my personal copy of your ToS as well as google cache revealed this circumstance, and a quick check with my lawyer indicates that this would be a case of fraud, seeing as there was no information about an amendment to the ToS, neither publicly, nor privately, and people were in fact mislead about the ToS having not been updated since late August. I sincerely hope that this was an honest mistake on your part, and that my refund will be addressed according to the ToS that were in place when I actually rented the server. Why does this surprise you? UKGame has always been like this. I even got threatened with legal action because I kept on telling people how bad it was there. Go figure. Also I'm almost positive I have seen them edit their terms of service in the past, so that doesn't surprise me either. Just do a charge back. They can't legally do anything about it if their site says they have a money back guarantee. And as long as you can prove (meaning you need to print it) that their terms of service never said that originally, they won't be able to do jack. I highly suggest a chargeback in this sort of situation. Good luck, and I hope you get your money back.
It's funny how whenever something like this comes up all the FP providers know about it.. Anyways, that's absolute bullshit. Run a chargeback, not only does it get your money back, it also lowers their reputation in the eyes of the financial world (Paypal, bank, etc).

I had the same problem, The arguement went on for about 5 days. I had that chris clark support guy too, I eventually got my money back after threating the company with legal action because I prooved fault with my server but they didnt refund me and under the distance selling regulations, Any purchase can be retuned within 30 days with P+P. So I eventually got a cool guy who gave me a refund :)

I ordered a server with them a few months back totally forgot, got charged again asked for a refund within a few hours, they said no, and I knew I wouldn't but it was worth a try, so I thought I would check my old ticket that I submitted the first 10 seconds after ordering my server the first time because I noticed somehow I ordered the wrong game, and he did say in that, that he gave me a refund and the money will be in my account in the next few days, so I checked and funny enough it didn't go in, so I told him in the support ticket that it didn't go through, and instead of actualy refunding the money he ends up blaming my card issuer who obviously have no problem with because I had some money deposited the same day he supposedly sent it, its only £6 but still it should be mine not his. Louise was awesome, but she left ukgame out the backdoor for some reason, maybe her support was too good. But from what little words ive had with her, Chris and her fell out. I bet he wish he had her back again :)

Total dick (no pun intended). I hated doing any business with her because of her lousy attitude.
I use to go with ukgamers , did have any trouble untill i wanted the FAST-dl they were offering. Then it just turned into a shit storm. So then i went to buy a VPS with Vps247 , witch turned out to be crap and over costly , so now i am hosting my own servers and have had the best support in my life.
I bought 2 GMOD servers from them a while ago and have only payed for the 1st month then stopped. I wonder why I can still access and use the servers 3 months later. O.O

UKGame were good 1 year ago, now they are absolutely shit.
I rented a server from them a while back, I had no trouble with the server, but when i checked my bank account... (the server costed 20$) they took 50$..
A friend of me rented a 12 slot gmod server for one month. 3 days after all addons were installed the server crashed and reinstall didn't work. He got responce from Chris som days after the month were over.
My friend payed for a Gmod server for a month and hes still got it. He bought it 4 months ago :v
