For me i cant choose any of my player models now i can only do the hl2 ones i have the icons for the other player models but dosent load any more only hl2 and macinima hands side dosen't work after the animation update sirosly garry needs to check with other REAL moders to see if it works with the addons cause our lua guys are sick of haivng to go edit
Yes Garry really should check with every single one of hundreds of modders to see if every one of their poorly written addons will continue to work.
other REAL moders
Seriously?
Gmod updates always break addons. It's a bitch but it's certainly worth living with. Garry's not going to check with coders before releasing every update because would be ridiculous.
Garry can check most things aren't broken yet as he has one of the best Lua coders working for him. But that doesn't mean everything will survive his updates. Deal with it and move on.

Which is why he's working on GMod (Which is mostly C++, IIRC) [editline]11:49PM[/editline] He's much more helpful than Garry. He actually spent a few hours in my server collecting crash dumps and viewing how and when people crash, then fixed them.

so how do you fix it so you can play the other player models i hate being kliener and the mero cop i cant even do rebels or other combine ! WTF !
The only thing we need in the next update is a either a system to turn on/off specific updates to gmod, or at least a rollback feature to remove all these shit updates. That way, the people who want to keep everything working can keep it that way, and anyone who actually wants the updates can choose to add them. SVN has a way to back out of broken updates, how can it be too much to ask for something similar for gmod? My steam has been refusing to leave my gmod alone, always turning automatic updating on after I switch it off, and ruining my gmod with each new update it forces in. Before gmod would be worth playing again, it needs to be cleaned to back around update level 71 at least. Everything since then has been worthless, breaking pretty much everything one after another with no real benefits to show for it besides more crashes and lag (even when I had all addons removed), and I haven't been able to find a way yet to make gmod worth anything again.
You do know if you rolled back the updates you wouldn't be able to play multiplayer
You do know if you rolled back the updates you wouldn't be able to play multiplayer
I didn't, but it doesn't change things for me, as I never really do multiplayer anymore. If I ever start caring about it, I would at least have to option to update so I can play whatever multiplayer I might want, and then un-update to fix everything back for singleplayer again. When I used to play multiplayer, I had one garrysmod/garrysmod folder with all my singleplayer addons, and another folder with PHX, Wire, Spacebuild, and assorted maps for use in multiplayer. I would rename the folders as needed so I was running the right one. Just the Idea I had was for people who like their addons to work. Rather than making addon creators to come out with fixes for addons that Garry breaks, or having Garry look at every addon to make sure he doesn't ruin them, just allow players to ignore updates that break the addons that they have. If they need to be updated to play multiplayer, it shouldn't be too hard to find a way to either fix that or just make it work. I have a lot of addons. While I've made sure they work well with each other, it's hard to protect them when the game stops supporting them, and the authors usually can't be bothered to do anything about it, and I don't have the lua skills to fix them myself.
