This is an opportunity to hone and showcase your skills in the creation of an entirely new type of roleplay community. Enter lucidRP. lucidRP ([url]https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/104324115621393855710[/url]) is founded on the principle that roleplaying shouldn't be about ban requests or admin favoritism or the elitism that so often occurs in many other roleplaying communities. No, lucidRP believes that a roleplay community should be about fostering an environment conducive to good roleplay- plain and simple. To do this, lucidRP will be taking a different approach to how a roleplay community should be run and is currently recruiting to fill the following position:
-Project Leader for Gamemode Development & Design
In the future, as gamemode development is under way, the following positions will become available:
-Project Leader for Map Development & Design
-Project Leader for Forum/Website Development & Design
Project leaders will be tasked with assembling and leading their own team for their respective department. We are looking for people who are just as ambitious as we are about making this project come to fruition. Project leaders are to posses good leadership and management skills, no hesitation in voicing their opinion and/or playing devil's advocate, and, most importantly, a willingness to communicate and cooperate with fellow LRP team members. Another point to note: lucidRP is building the gamemode and website from the ground up, which means this /will/ take time.

What's the pay?
As of right now, nothing. Hopefully if this gets off the ground and we get some backing, payment is a definite possibility.
Most coders do not work for free, so you will have a hard time finding one.
I figured as much. I'm not asking for coders to work on this project like a full-time job (though don't let me stop you.) I am looking for coders that see that LRP and the philosophy behind it will create good roleplay and willing to code on their free time to create a gamemode that will be just as innovative as this community.

That's always been the intention. If people invested the same amount of time they spend complaining about these stagnant gamemodes into actually doing something about it, we'd be getting somewhere. Instead we're left with cynicism and threads like, "Shit that gets you mad in Gmod" and "What happened to good gamemodes."

This is true, I'd consider helping any project that was attempting to redefine RP if I wasn't already caught up in too many of my own projects
I would be working on Onslaught if it weren't for how fun working on SNPCs for it is.
