Im paying 10 pounds extra on my gmod server for 66 tick. Is it worth paying for? 32 tick is cheaper.
Your host sounds retarded. But no, it's not.
100 tick.
100 tick.
You only need 100 tick if you want extremely precise guns. 26 tick is fine for the average server, as is 33.

GMod cant handle 100
GMod cant handle 100
Why what would Happen?
Why what would Happen?
GMod gets none of the benefit of 100 tick, but still gets the increased CPU usage and stuff.
GMod gets none of the benefit of 100 tick, but still gets the increased CPU usage and stuff.
I thought it fucked up jumping.
So on a dedicated server what would you suggest to Run a TTT at optimal Performance.
I thought it fucked up jumping.
Can do. [editline]18th December 2010[/editline]
So on a dedicated server what would you suggest to Run a TTT at optimal Performance.
33 tick will reduce CPU usage, so you won't have as much potential lag. Though, 66 will make things seem smooth. So whichever you value more.
I personally go with 66 tick as its a lot more stable when you get past 25 players or so.
1000 Tick.
I thought it fucked up jumping.
I thought Garry fixed that already.
You only need 100 tick if you want extremely precise guns. 26 tick is fine for the average server, as is 33.
I use 22 for my servers.
I used to vary my tickrates so much that I always had to check them if/when players asked what it was set to. Now you might wonder why players are asking and that's because some part of wiremod or something doesn't account for anything but 66 tick and spazzes out physics in a horrible way. So 66 tick shall it be at least on build servers..
