I've re-created this as a poll so please ignore, and lock this thread.
I disagree, I think it should go in the help forum, or these people should get a fucking brain.
Yeah i agree, but its still not stopping them, i just think having a direct area for new people would help keep that kind of problem in one area because lately; help forum or no help forum, its still flooding the base of this forum and i find it annoying sometimes.
Don't take me stupid, i know having a dedicated sub-forum to new members won't make all new people go there instantly, but its a area that we can all tell them to go to, and moderators and move the threads there if needed.
Okay, so we make a forum for these sorts of threads, as well as having the Roleplay, Help & Support, garrysmod.org and Ideas & Suggestions subforums.
Now, I ask you:
What would we talk about in the normal GMod forum?
You can talk about stuff that doesn't require a specific explanation or answer, like promoting your garrysmod videos like tutorials or machinimas, promoting your garrysmod events, teams and websites and general discussion about the actual game.
agree. should have added poll for this.
No, not practical.
okay this could work if they actually posted in the right section ever, but then dont so it wouldnt work
Ok, i'll poll this, never thought of it.
They have a section under Help and Support (or somewhere) calledd Newbie Questions. Maybe that should be linked to in the GMOD Discussion main hub.

Funny stories (not ones we've heard before like "I made this contraption and blah blah blah..."), maybe some kinds of engaging (for lack of a better word) polls, or just discuss new addons that are either useless or amazing. Either way, a healthy rant could help anyone.
