So sometime this week I am going to open a DarkRP server but I have been searching for a reliable host plus not for much money and UK based I need about 35 slots and able to stand modified DarkRP. I can spend around 10 British pounds but maybe can go a bit higher but unlikely. I know you have proberbly read posts like this but I have not seen any with these specifications Thank you for reading this post :) Gloves_ - not very known person
You won't find a server with 35 slots for 10 pounds if you want a decent server it would be something like 0,90 / slot or 0,70 / slot
To be fair you'll struggle to find a good eu host full stop.
I've found a good one, but not in your pricerange. http://nitrous-networks.co.uk/
Had a look. A 32-slot from them is £10 + £2 VAT if you take their special offer.
nitrous-networks is pretty good, friendly staff, great service. and still cheap!
Is there a reason you're restricting yourself to the UK? A lot of UK ISP's actually get better latency to the other big exchanges (DE-CIX, AMS-IX) than they do to UK datacenters.

Name one that gets a better latency to DE-CIX than to redstations DC for example. While what you say was true long ago, I doubt it is anymore. Although even now you're talking 5-10 increase and for garrysmod that means nothing. Although I've had terrible luck with Amsterdam hosting and random packet loss tbh.

A good example being the ifb datacenter in Aberdeen, which despite being a 15 minute walk from me routes via LINX.
Scotland, say no more ;)... Most of the southern datacenters are where game servers host, I've not really seen any use northern hosts, pretty much exactly because of the issue you just described.
Why has nobody suggested PlugPayPlay.com yet? I've used them for quite some time. Not had any downtime, support's been bang on. Free Teamspeak 3 Server included.
They are cheap as pie :P, but still reliable 46 slots for a tenner.
They have test servers as well, so you can try before you buy. I don't know any one else that allows you to have a test server with out a credit card.

www.ByaServers.co.uk Very cheap hosts have great features aswell Mod installer , fastdl , web console , map installer and more and mod installer have loads of mods and great support very cheap at only 32p per slot, and if you ask im sure they may do like a 5% discount Very helpful..
http://www.plugpayplay.com/ It's cheap and perfect quality.
Sorry for bump but don't deal with plugpayplay.com they are cheap but they got much lag and they if something goes wrong at the server they say they will fix it 10 times before they try to
Been a member of plugpayplay for 3 months, They offer horrible ram. If you're looking for a server that says it supports a large number of players but lags when it gets halfway near that amount they're the server provider for you. I asked them and there 8 player slot services are like 500mb, there 80+ slot services are 1gb ram.. Horrible amount of ram.

Any source engine based game isn't RAM hungry, there's also no way to restrict a program (in this case, SRCDS) to a certain amount of RAM. The server will use as much RAM as it requires.
