Sandbox v2 (Sandbox with factions and random events...) - Garry's Mod

[img]http://www.plaatjesupload.nl/bekijk/2010/06/10/1276177035-950.png[/img] So basically it is Normal prop building sandbox with a little extra. - When you join the server you can choose a faction/group - Every group must have a Faction leader who gives out orders to earn points/money to UNLOCK new Entities and stools. - Random events like sudden nuke (Without destroying props/buildings) Hazard infection, Zombie spawning (Admin can choose where the infection spawns) Well.. thats about it.. Prop building with factions where its not really needed to fight each other with random events.

What's the point? Sandbox is meant to be free building, if you're going to restrict entities and tools and trigger random nukes, I really don't see the interest of it at all.

Sounds like it would be better off as a gamemode on its own, which would turn in RDM.

I see potential in this, have to be sorta like pandemic- and the factions could create an alliance etc.. (Don't name it sandbox v2)

Yes, something like that. But i do not want to lock main tools like roper or Advance Dupli, but sTools like Waterizer and Mounted Turret. Sample: 1. You join the server 2. You select the Dark Builders group, because those guys are aiming on building bases and having war with other groups. 3. You enter the game and you spawn in a selected base 4. The faction leader can give out orders, ranks and privileges 5. There are 3 ways to get money to unlock sTools: - Earn money every hour/half hour you are in the server - Execute the orders of the Faction leader - Steal money from the enemy´s base The bases are a anti-noclip zone where the players build there base and constructions, after that you can go to the normal zone where players are building or fighting. It needs to be balanced between Deathmatch and Building, or even a mix! This adds loads of more fun to a server then just building

Now its starting to sound interesting.

I just wish someone would develop this gamemode.. i know people will respond like: Learn LUA yourself and make it yourself :colbert: But i simply do not got enought time for it... (Forgot to note, You can get BANNED from your faction, if that happens you spawn at the red Spawn location)

This is dark RP on a bigger map and "Snipper" and "Soulddier" classes. Everyone either builds or DMs in dark RP servers anyways.

this sound interesting :D There should be 2 rounds 1) Building and using money fro props - Stool buying 2) Fighting! in CSS style and CTF style (steal money, the one who rest without looses)
