where to place .bsp files and error issues

hello, as you can most likelyy already tell, im new to GMod and have 2 questions:

1:How do i get ride of the error boxes and pink/black textures in a level?

2:What folder do i place .bsp files in for new levels

1: Depending on the error you get, we cant tell you
2: If it is a .bsp file, then it myst be a map and so you put it in your garrysmod \ maps folder
When you load up gmod it should be seen in your "Other" area unless the name starts with gm_

What is the error your getting?

1. You're missing materials. It is often due to you not owning a game, commonly CS:S.

2. steam/steamapps/username/garrysmod/garrysmod/maps

Put maps into maps folder, error issues goes to recycle bin.

the error issue was what the other person had said, missing textures and models like shown here:

1. Buy DoD:S, CSS and the orange box.

2. BSPs go into maps folder.

3. Brain goes in head.

4. Brain learns to use Google.

5. Brain is successful.
