Simple problem. Im trying to lower my graphic settings to minimum, and i set them all to minimum, press apply, and ok, i go play, the settings are still set to low. I close garrysmod, and an hour later i come to find the graphics are set to the recomended I reset them to low, apply them, and close garrysmod, reopen it, and the graphics went right back to default. What could be causing this?
Check garrysmod/cfg/config.cfg, make sure it's not read only or such. If it doesn't work, you can edit it manually and then set it to read only.
Config only has keybindings Not graphics settings Im in garrysmod/garrysmod/cfg/config.cfg
Well, damn. You're right. In a matter of fact, I can't find the settings anywhere. :argh:
I guess we shall wait for another person to help.
It's not in cfg, and not in settings. And ignore settings_default:
// This isn't needed because we don't use Valve's server creation crap VERSION 1.0 DESCRIPTION SERVER_OPTIONS { }
I cant believe nobody knows how to fix this...
Heh, I think it is in registry. I've checked under software/valve/source/garrysmod/settings in regedit.
But is there anyway to make it so that the changes actually save in-game with the options? It gets really annoyign when i play because i either have to wait 5 minutes for the options to change, or i have to go into the game and pplay with the graphic lag Becuase i really dont feel like messing with registry keys
There has to be a way to fix this
Actually, nevermind. I've been toying around with the settings in regedit, and it seems no matter what you do to them, the actual in-game options refuse to change.
So theres no way to fix this?
