TL;DR: Basically The Club meets the Exquisite Corpse Game with a couple of twists. BASIC GAMEPLAY: Maps would have 24-32 connected square/rectangular areas, with each player being assigned to one. From there, they have 5 minutes to decorate it with props and fill it with NPCs as they wish. They could also have event triggers; for example, in a large outdoor area, one could place a trigger that calls in an AC-130 from the MW2 Killstreaks pack, or in a city one could have a nuke timer activate that has to be disarmed before the player can advance. In addition, no one would be able to see other people's room designs. This is the Exquisite Corpse part. After the 5 minutes are up, the state of the rooms is saved, and the players take turns running through them. Killing enemy NPCs earns points, killing friendly ones subtracts them. Double kills and multi kills fill up a combo meter that acts as a point multiplier. In addition, the players would be encouraged to complete the "level" as quickly as possible to keep the game flow smooth, perhaps with a time bonus. After a player completes the series of rooms, they reset and another player goes through, continuing until everyone has finished it. Death results in a loss of points and time. This is the part that rips off The Club. After everyone has completed the area, awards are given out. For example, someone who gets over 90% headshots would get the "Aim For The Head" award, someone who uses only "improvised weapon" SWEPs like bricks, glass shards, and chairs would get the "Jason Bourne" award, and someone who completes the area in less than 2 minutes and never gets hit would get the "Ninja" award. Awards would be stored on the server and act like perks in Fallout 3; the aforementioned Aim for the Head award would give a slight amount of auto-aim to enemies' heads, the Jason Bourne award would give damage bonuses to those weapons, and the Ninja award would enable the player to take longer jumps and sprint slightly faster. In addition to all of this, the player who finishes with the most points gets to set a restriction or theme for the next set of rooms, like only Combine Soldiers, only silenced weapons, no explosive barrels, that sort of thing. MAP IDEAS: - Military base - City ghetto - Forest - Tron-style virtual reality - Spaceship (with at least one or two zero-G areas) - City with lots of canals (think Venice)
