I know with Left 4 Dead you can log into multiple computers with steam in offline mode and have a LAN, but it doesn't seem to work that way in GMod. If I create a server the other people on the account will get the "this steam account is being used elsewhere" message, or they will get booted off about a minute after playing with "Invalid SteamID".
Is there any way to do a LAN with 1 account?
There are clients that you can download in the tools section that host a dedicated server. You want to download that and then run it for a lan.
Not with one account no, each account has a unique key number, or a steam id. It is used for bans, and pretty much anything on steam, you can't use it in more than one location at the same time.
I used to do it, don't know if it still works though, use offline mode on steam, it allows LAN connections.

I do that but like I said I still get kicked off for using the same account.
