I've heard so much about something called wiremod, yet I have no idea what it is :(

On a more serious note: Wiremod is a file that allows you to do very complicated things (such as create security cams) Much easier and quicker. This is very useful to new players of the mod, though contains stuff that will take a while to understand, let alone use. For others, it kinda took the fun out of the complication of Garry's mod, and how meaningful their creations were. I personally like it, because it allows me to do things that I could've never done unless I played the game for 5 years. I forgot the link on how to get it, or the instruction guide, so I will allow someone else to take the glory of doing that.

I got it, it screwed with my lightmaps, I deleted it. I can't really help you much because my gmod, or maybe my computer, hates wiremod. Maybe when I save up enough money for a gaming computer barebones kit I will give wiremod another try and tell you how it goes. You will most likely have tried it yourself by then.
I don't buy pre-made pc's or barebones kits, I prefer to order my part from their respected manufacturers and put then together myself, besides I get parts at dealer cost not retail.

Why the christ would it screw with your lightmaps
Lightmaps are compiled into the map
Do you even know what lightmaps are
