Can you please help me create an internet server. What i'm trying to do is set up a small game for me and my friend to play around and have fun on Garrys mod. I Select the "create server" button on the main menu. I absolutely make sure the local network box is unchecked. Every time I invite my friend to a game He gets the error server not responding. When I look on internet for my server I can't find it anywhere. When I look in lan my server is there. Please help me fix this. I really want to play with my friend.
You could try downloading hamachi and setting it up, then have your friend download it as well and join the same VLAN server, then he can connect.

Is there any other way? My friend is paranoid downloading things from the internet. If all else fails I shall try that though.
i already tried it,and yet it only shows up as a lan game,he can't conenct to my hamachi ip for some reasons
