Best RP Servers - Garry's Mod

What are some of the best RP servers on Garry's mod? (Or worst) Through months of playing, I have found a few servers I want to rank. G-mod is acting a little weird right now, so I can't remember or find all the big servers. Perhaps we can make a bigger more organized list later including server addreses. But anyways, the contestants. These were the server I played for a while. Taco n Bannanas (half life 2) Noobonic Plague D3vine Dark RP Exiled Servers 24/7 serious city RP (hl2land.net) Fast DL 1rst Place and Kick ass winner... Taco n bannana (Haven't played on this for a little while though) This is a shinning example of REAL serious RP. What probably makes the difference in this server is the strict use of guns on this server. I still don't know how to find a gun in that server and I played on it for at least a month. Also, to become a CP, you must apply to the freeking website. It has an atmosphere that supports real RP and also gives you an impression of the average citizen's life under combine rule. Standing in line for a crappy ration was never so intimidating. The CP are real assholes and I mean assholes that roleplay to that, not RDM'ing and arresting random people. I had some success running a small psychology clinic. Though, over half of my customers would end up admitting to some form of pervertedness and then try to rob my shop. I was killed by a lamp while defending myself with a globe. I will never forget that. Oh, and there's no money printers. 2nd place Exiled Servers Exiled Servers is like Dark RP where it is Police vs. Crime and there's no serious RP. Instead of money printers, there is marijuana. Also, RDM'ing does occur (but rarely). What makes this server shine is it's unique economy system or at least trade system. Players can build up on a small selection of skills to create items from weapons to barriers to... weapons. Oh, and ammunition. Also, you must play for at least several hours before getting a gov. Job like the police, where minges usually thrive but most of the time, and admin is on duty. Finally, there are cars which have pretty good handling and a great source of transperation. But there is no driver's ed or sobriety tests. The drivers in this server like to fly at 80 MPH down city roads taking out pedestrians in their way or have head on collisions with other speeding morons. Overall, its a great servers. 3rd Place D3vine RP D3vine RP, which uses dark RP, has the usual RDM'ing minges, money printers, and cops vs. robbers. But, it has a relatively okay community and an usually active admin force. I have fun running around in the nexus, talking to people in the public square, and other things. Unfortunatlly, the server has a couple flaws that make mingery relatively easy, exluding dark RP. For one, hitmen are allowed in the server. Meaning, you can kill anyone on the server and declare you were payed X ammount of money for it. Also, when a mayor enacts the lockdown, gangsters have the immediate right to kill all CP as well as other job classes. That means the CP's get mowed down by people with machine guns in the town square. Usually the CP retreat to the nexus till the lockdown is over. 4th place Noobonic Plauge Noobonic Plague is your usuall Dark RP DM hell hole. But, I have never found a server that updates itself and evolves. I feel the staff for the server really try to improve it. But, I do disagree with a few of their desicions. NLR no longer applies. The admins don't enforce it and it is no longer in the rules... but no-one really used it anyways. For me, its a mixed blessing. As a CP, I can fight back minges and get revenge. With NLR, I was always demoted for fighting back or doing anything for either RDM or NLR even if they basically been breaking that rule the entire time. Also, Noobonic has a new revive system. Players, when killed, are knocked out for at least several minutes. They can be revived by other players or a medic. The innocent have to wait several minutes when killed by a minge but a minge can be knocked out for several minutes. The advantage is that people can choose wether or not they want to revive player depending on if they were a dick or relatively liked. I sometimes dragged people into allys' if I didn't like them. So, they are genuinly trying to improve Dark RP. 5th Place The hell hole minge fest 24/7 serious city RP (hl2land.net) Fast DL. This represents the worst side of Dark RP. This was my first RP server on Gmod and will never go in it again. Though, I recently returned and found it improved but it has given me some strong memories. Or else I am mistaking this for another generic crappy RP server. It gave me the clear definition of dark RP... Dark RP : Murder everyone on the server, die, then demote the entire police force for NLR when they arrest you. I loved playing a CP but thanks to Dark RP, it was the worst job in the server. A CP is subject to being killed for no reason what-so-ever because the dominant attitude is all CP are minges that must be killed. Really, all the minges like to join the CP, revenge arrest or dick around, and then go on to another job. What they did is make the CP force look awful and I will agree that the majority of the CP's abuse their job in one way or another. But the rest of the people who geniunly want to play as a cop following the rules suffer. Meet Micheal Ront, the CP that suffered heavily from this. Though, what drove me up the wall, was the use or NLR. You see, NLR was turned over its head by the 13 year old F@#$ING DUMB@#$ @#$@^$@#%! wads that are the majority of players on the server. The admins were usually away while the minges ran out to play. They RDM'ed the cops, commited mass murder in the server, sniped from buildings, set up forts, and generally ruined the fun of most players. The Police had the ability to arrest them or gang up on them. I felt the police were almost a substitute admin or a way to keep these minges in check. I, as the chief, sent the entire police force on them. They were finally either killed and then arrested. But guess what, that couldn't happen. I was breaking the NLR. I was demoted hundreds of times for this reason. And no matter how many times I explained why I arrested them, everyone would vote yes. It seemed most players had the attitude of voting yes for any demote vote. So, the minges continued to have fun, kill me, kill others, and dick around. It was a battle I never should of fought in and I should of left the server much earlier. I could continue ranting but, there its the worst server I have ever visited on Gmod. My recent visit changed things a little. The server had one admin that actually gave a rat's ass. He banned at least 5 players while I was on. The server was alot more fun then. So basically... -Admins were rarely on -13 year old dumbasses made up most players -The CP job was a joke -No RP in any fashion what-so-ever -RDM was basically the only gameplay mechanic. In my opinion, the only reason you found TnB to be so great is because you're comparing it to DarkRP.

Taco'n'Shit- Stay for days as citizen, be the CP's bitch, have to donate to do anything, stay without any money, run around bored aimlessly looking for roleplay that will never happen. Exiled are just the other robbers of PE and is ofcourse "lite" AKA "Why the fuck do I need to administrate this?" so its RDM and minge heaven. Noobonic has no roleplay what so ever and is a deathmatch shit server. Others I have not played. But most servers are shit, I don't know one server that is not DarkRP on downtown with shitty ass jobs (AKA lots of shitty jobs), where the owner is not a 12 year old and does not try to make it a crappy deathmatch server.

You have to literally look at RDM as "someone walking up to you and killing you with absolutely no jurisdiction and no legitimate reason they could possibly have done it". I'm talking TOTALLY random, not just being in his base or killing his friend, as bothersome as those are. Such random kills are infrequent and if you can learn to ignore the constant stream of demote windows on your screen, it's a great experience. Guns are a tremendous part of the server, yes, but they have uses other than RDM. Think about that shit.

One of roflwafflez's server's, i dont remember which one, and i've barely been on it, but it pretty much only got praise. 2. Some nexus server that i dont remember the name of, and is probably been taken down by now. 1. Raven roleplaying, is, atleast in my oppinion, the best roleplaying server out there, its surprising, since its on darkrp, and pretty much everyone hates darkrp by now dont they? Anyway, its a very tight community though, you need to aply on their forums to even get on the server, and right now their server is being remade or something by vince.

We really should have a ranking system for these servers. A simple poll. Also, I really should of had noobonic as third over d3vine. Noobonic has a good community and is always active with constant updates but the whole RDM'ing the dark RP thing is terrible.
