Crashing when running GMOD on DirectX 90 mode?

I load, I go to the loading screen, I crash.

If run the game on DirectX 80/81, I crash when rapid particles are activated anywhere in the game.

I can run DirectX 90 Mode on Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress 2.

My computer specs can run DirectX 90 (WELL DUH.)
