Hey guys, whenever i shoot in garrys mod, especially in RP servers, i lag like crazy, i have good fps outside of that. i have a 2hz processer and ATI Radeon card x1300 with 2gigs of ram. I need halp.
Is there any way to disable the dust particles? or delete them?

What guns are using to shoot with? Any guns that have high smoke or muzzle flash effects will cause serious wear down on the pc if you are not running the proper specs. And DarkRP has serious problems handling these kind of weapons regardless of your system specs since they would be using the server's specs to handle them and not yours. Most servers cant handle them.
im using most the cs:s weapons, ty for the help btw. so then, im kinda stuck with the lag? i even put everything on low, and i have a friend with the same computer, and his doesnt lag as much. i lag to the point where i skip around for a good 5 seconds if the weapon is automatic lol.
Have you tried updating your drivers and DirectX recently?

i updated my directx, but it has been awhile since i updated my drivers, so ill do that as well, if i need to
If you are using the CS:S Realistic weapons they generate a lot of lag with automatic weapons, they emit a puff of smoke with each shot. Even on high-end machines.
dude, its fixed, or so i think. i only tested in singleplayer. thank you so much for your help, ive been trying to fix it for so long. :)
