Hey guys, I just tried starting gmod and it gave me an engine error that said "NO STEAM APPS!" I tried typing "-fullscreen" into the console in steam and adjusting the regedit resolution but nothing worked. It worked fine until a half an hour ago and all I did was add a map to my maps folder, I even deleted the map to see if that was what caused the problem but it didnt help. I tried starting portal and it worked fine so I know its not steam.
Please help.
What steam games do you own and did you get Portal via the free weekend?

True, but most all (including me) like to know that Gmod wasnt Pirated.

Restart Steam?
Restart Computer?
my steam is not pirated, I do not know how to prove that I am him but I do have a legit copy of gmod and a legit copy of half life 2 2
Restarted steam ill try computer now
Put "I am slycawt, Facepunchers" on your Steam profile.
My word should be enough honestly, but nevermind, restarting steam and my computer did the trick! Steam had an update and it ran gmod perfectly. thanks everyone
