Garrysmod Crash that is odd

Hi, so recently i have been having some issues with using the console command startmovie "filename" avi.

i have the k-lite codec pack full version, it may be the wrong one but i use xvid file compression as well.

Am i doing something wrong? im following a tutorial made by Hat.

my older laptop never did this, so this is odd that it would not work on a new,faster laptop.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, i would really like this to be resolved so i can continue with my machinima.
