It seems no matter how hard I try, I can never get custom killicons to work properly. Even if I download and install someone else's killicon set and replace some of the .VTF and .VMT files with my own I just get the black n' purple checker texture at best.
Is there a tutorial for this kind of thing? Google isn't finding anything useful.
