For some reason, if I try to connect to a server using a map I don't already have, any servers at all, it gives me "Missing map <name>, disconnecting." or whatever that error says exactly.
I don't recall setting any options that would cause this, and I don't know how to fix it. Can anybody help?
thats a server thing, It means that they dont host the map that your client is looking to Download... (FastDL not Set-Up)
But I've connected to and downloaded from the same servers before, on most of the occasions this problem occurs.

Even servers I know have FastDL set up, don't work.
I'm having the same problem in Counter-Strike, probably TF2 too.
Go to options and enable the option to download custom content from servers

Any other ideas? :/
(This is how it was already.)

just google the map?

That'd be a solution for servers that use the same map 24/7.
But for servers like Deathrun and Trouble in Terrorist Town...I doubt anybody would want to close the game and download a new map every time the server's map changes. :|
-Probably off-topic-
Also, dunno if it's possibly connected in any way, but the steam browser/Internet Explorer started messing up at around the same time.
Firefox did too, but it was fixed by turning off proxies...something I don't know how to do on IE or the Steam browser...
Like I said, probably not connected.
