Preparing to launch Garry's Mod...

Okay so recently a few of us have had the steam friends error thing, I went to [url]http://www.garry.tv/?p=1881[/url] and No, I haven't pirated the game so I tried numbers 3 and four.

After doing this I go to click play Garry's Mod, It Just says preparing to launch Garry's Mod.. I've left it on for about 5 minutes still there.

I've tried to delete local content that just makes my steam stop responding.

I've tried renaming Garrysmod folder but It still says preparing to launch garry's mod and it's not moving still.

Any help is appreciated

If your steam is not responding, while deinstalling its a good sign, because the game wont disappear with a single click, it takes time to delete.
So just wait a little. :3

Well I right click gmod > delete local content

then it stops responding, i'll leave it here for 5 - 10 mins.

5 Minutes later and still not responding.

How i fixed the local content problem: Removed the garry's mod .gcf from steamapps folder.

When trying to install "Creating local game cache files" it gets to the end but then stops moving.
