Damn, I forgot I need tf2 for tf2 models in gmod. On one of my accounts I have tf2 and one account I have gmod. Is there a way I can still get tf2 models in gmod without having tf2?
Not without a possibly illegal copy.
Probbably he got VAC'd
But i dont see it on his steam profile, link to your other profile?
Or are you using a cracked steam?
Nevermind, scrap all that what I said below, if you own TF2 you can get the content without downloading anything (apart from GCFScape).
Download GCFScape, install it. Go to your /steamapps/ folder and you'll find a GCF named "team fortress materials.gcf" and "team fortress content.gcf". Open them with GCFScape and right click the tf/materials folder in "tf2materials.gcf" and extract them somewhere. Then do the same with the tf/models folder from "tf2content.gcf". You'll have 2 folders with all the models and materials from TF2
Download this. Run "download tf2.bat". When it's installed take the models and materials folder then put then in an addons folder so you can find them easier in the browse menu.
This is legal before anyone rants at me, it's using Valve's/Steams SCRDS service to run a server, the same process can be done with most other source games
