I've been having problems with the source recorder.
Basically, I follow all the instructions (Record *name*, Stop, Host framerate 30, e.t.c)
and it creates my AVI file. Sadly, the avi doesn't work when I try to run it on any media player. (I've tried at least five)
I can assure you I recorded the movie and all correctly.
So, anyone else having this problem?
Alright, sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
Basically, the AVI saves, but doesn't play.
Any way to fix this.

I'm going to seem condescending for a moment, but it's because Source Recorder is really complicated. Answer these questions for me, please.
*Did you set "sv_cheats" to 1? host_framerate won't work without it.
*Did you use "startmovie <demoname> raw" or "startmovie <demoname> avi" ?
*If the above question is the latter, did you choose a compatible compression codec and not "Full Frames (Uncompressed)" ?
*If the above question is yes, post computer specifications.
I know some of these may be answered, but it's part of the process. Sorry. :wink:
