I can't seem to work this. - Garry's Mod

I put it in addons, and tried garrysmod, but neither worked. Here is how: Open the zip and click on alyxmodel folder or whatever it is called and open it. You should find several folders called "materials", "Models" and so forth, put all of those into garrysmod/garrysmod. Viola. Get the fuck out of here, loser.[/QUOTE] To OP: What Rim said is how it works. Note that it only replaces the NPC Alyx and the Alyx spawned from the HL2: Characters spawn menu. The one in the Episode 2 spawn menu is still the actual Alxy from Episode 2. To change that, just follow the EP2 fix he posted: [quote]Make a copy of all the files in the model folder. Its just this legal faggotry is getting annoying, soon people would want to go in your house and take your computer for testing to verify that you have indeed bought GMod by running extensive testing in specialized laboratories while your credit card and identity are being checked by the FBI to make sure you are not a scam. Furthermore you will have to write a testimony of the exact process of how you bought gmod and what games you had while purchasing, in addition you will be required to pay 500$ compensation just in case you pirated it and 10 000$ for the testing, which you in no way, shape or form approved and you did not even pirate it, but you gotta pay them anyway.

If he did pirate it he wouldn't be able to download from garrysmod.org.

Hmm... You say you really like Alyx, do you have any other mods that change Alyx's appearance? It could be that they are conflicting with each other. Try doing this on a clean copy of Garry's Mod.

That may be it, though. Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[USERNAME] There should be a folder in there that says "Garrysmod." Move that folder out of Steamapps and put it on the Desktop or something. As a safety measure, don't delete it. Run the game and a new "Garrysmod" folder will pop up. Install your model/skin/whatever like everyone else said. If it works, great. Re-install any other addons you had save for other skins. Then delete the old folder. Hey, maybe you need to delete the Garrysmod folder inside of C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[USERNAME]\Garrysmod I forgot how to do clean install. Don't try anything until someone can confirm which Garrysmod folder you delete. Long, unreadable post for the fail! :hurr:

You can delete either folder, everything inside of \USERNAME\ regenerates once you run that game, except of course custom files and folders within.

For the CM10 models READ THE DESCRIPTION. It says that "garrysmod.org didn't want to upload the whole file so in this rar it's a txt file which has the download link in it. Sorry for this unpleasant thing..." download that and input that and it should work. Have fun with your Alyx's!
