Alright, I have been doing some modeling and some thinking. View models are a pain to make. having to repeatedly re-rig each weapon with your new hands model becomes rather tedious, and because if it tediousness, the quality of each rig may vary/fall. So, I was wondering if it could be possible to implement a system that uses only 1 set of hands, with attachment points. Weapons would then attach to said attachment points, and an individual animation set would also load with the weapon. This would make creating hand model variants a lot easier, and increase the quality of rigging. I'd be willing to help model/rig for these if needed. ((and yes, I know this is how L4D works. We need it.))
