• Propeller stops responding?
    8 replies, posted
Basically, after re-loading a singleplayer save a few times, a propeller prop I created stops responding when I press the keys to make it spin. This comes up in the error box when I load the save: addons\phx\lua\entities\phx_propeller\init.lua:95: attempt to index field 'Snd' (a nil value) I tried updating the wiremod and PHX3 SVN using TortoiseSVN, restarting Gmod, but the propeller has just stopped working completely. It has happened twice now, and I would appreciate some help. Here are my specs - Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39GHz - RAM: 4.00 GB - Graphics card: NVidia GeForce 8600 GTS - Operating System: Windows Vista 32-bit Thanks
Bump.
Bump.
When you update something the saved files don't get updated too. Most likely the propeller prop you made is now outdated in wire. All you will have to do is just dupe whatever you contraption is and then rebuild it.
Why are you using saves? You have the SVN version of Wiremod, Adv Dupe comes with it. You should use that to save your contraptions, instead of saves.
Saves are horrible. Use Adv Dupe
Thanks for the reply, but what if I want to create a map with multiple contraptions on? How would I do that without saving?
Simple. Take out Adv Dupe, and dupe one contraption normally. Then, on the next contraption, hit Shift + Right Click, and do so for each individual contraption that you want to save. When you want to load these contraptions, you can choose to paste them in place in the Adv Dupe menu.
