Okay then, I downloaded the Final Fantasy Collection and Mario Pack and both are working for some reason, however my other packs (Zelda TP Collection, Epona, and a few other things) are not working. The former is only an "ERROR" model (is it because I only own Half Life?) and the latter won't appear at all.
When downloaded, it always comes with a "materials" and "models" folder. So I am like, no problem, I will just insert it into the folders located in my garrysmod folder and it should work. Wrong. Wont appear in game at all, and its very disappointing.
Outside of my model problems, I love this thing. Its awesome.

EDIT: Minor success, the models do appear in the Garry's Mod list but the icon is an ERROR model. However, sometimes if I click the Error model, it will in fact work.
Are these addons that you download? Do they contain an info.txt file?
When they [b]do[/b] contain an info.txt, I always place it in the addons folder. But nothing ever seems to work.
Not to say that nothing has been successful, alot of player models that I have found worked. And the maps generally work too. Its just the NPCs, Addons, and Weapons that won't seem to do anything.
Sometimes the "NPCs" that I downloaded actually appear in the props section and work as ragdolls, but that isn't what I wanted. I wanted NPCs. Anyone know what could be doing it?
Is it because the only game that gives Gmod content that I own is Half Life 2? I don't have any of the others.
It may be the lack of other games. I'm not certain, but gmod does have a long history of broken addons, some being broken because of updates.
Check the garrysmod.org pages of the addons that doesnt work, see if there are comments about this, if anyone else have had the same problem. Also check if the addons contain a readme or such with special installation instructions or requirements (not all addons require other games to work right, some require other addons).
As you see in the first pic, and the others, you placed your folders into <steamname>/garrysmod/
You should have placed them in <steamname>/garrysmod/garrysmod/. In other pics, you did that, but maybe that is causing the problem?

And, oh, by the way: If you download a random pack, like Mario, you should be able to see ALL the materials and models, because it's all custom content.
