Does anyone have it where when they face a certain direction the map somehow suddenly gets slightly brighter? Is this a cause of the recent update?
I believe its just a map lighting glitch
A pic would greatly be appreciated.

Nice avatar, no it's not a glitch, it's you looking at a light, for example the sun, try it in real life, shit gets brighter...
