Everytime I play GMOD I notice my disk space going down a bunch.
I ended up uninstalling GMOD cause I was down to 7GBs left on my computer and I had no idea what was causing it.
I deleted all the files inside of GMOD and noticed that it used up 110GBs of my disk space.
Moral of the story,
STICK TO ONE SERVER PER GAMEMODE.
Or just delete custom content when you're done playing on that server.

Hmmm, that's not a great end user response to an issue though. Always assume the end user is plankton...
Or just don't download 100 playermodels, 200 SWEPs and 5000 map packs.
My addon directory is less than 4GB in total, if I scrap the sourcegame content packs. With the majority then being a few mas and ACF

How in the sweet Jesus did you not take ages to load up Garry's Mod?

Probably an SSD or something.

The majority of them could be downloads, workshop crap for example. Which only mount when the server requests it, but you will keep it downloaded. Coupled with the fact (assuming this isn't fixed / not checked) that even if you already have the addon subscribed it will download it again to your downloads folder.
So if you like to mess around and explore the rich content others have made & also explore the exciting servers they have created - which is the essence of gmod itself - then you best make lots of room on your hard drive or wipe the folders often.

Exact reason why I have a separate disk for games.
