• People avoiding bans

Hello, i was wondering to get any information here about the folowing. On the server i play on, is a person cheating/hacking/scripting or however you wanna call it. He gets banned for it, but somehow he can unban himself, making him unbannable... Is there anything you can do about these kind of people? Hoping for a answer, Wolter Kevelam
You could try banning his IP.
according to the admins he had his IP hidden somehow.
Obviously they don't know what they're doing. Requisition better admins. Sorry that I can't help you anymore than that. Try steam support maybe?
Well unbans himself is rather specific is it unban himself or is it change his IP address via the use of a proxy, and then what spoof his steamid or alternatively and more likely change steam accounts? Basically its likely an insecure server rcon or something similar allowing him to access RCON to unban himself or the admins are stupid and don't understand. also you can't hide your IP you can spoof it you can change it but not hide it from view.
Well, some asshole was doing that on my server. Hard coded a .DLL module to kick a few selected STEAMIDS once fully connected, problem solved. A small .LUA File is likely to do the job well, but make sure to just do the checkings and stuff on "PlayerInitialSpawn" (or something like that), so they won't fool the server w/ fake STEAMIDS.
