This is an engine thing since it appears to affect TF2 and HL2DM as well.
I play in a window ( and sometimes a fullscreen window ) and having composition disabled is incredibly annoying and makes windows look terrible.
How do I go about re-enabling composition? There are no apparent settings to do this and I really would prefer the game didn't disable it.
Go to the Garry's Mod application (Dunno if it will work with a shortcut. It should?) > Right click > Properties > Compatibility > "Disable desktop composition" > untick
