I have recently decided to load Garrys Mod on to my new laptop and start getting back into the creating mood again. But after I installed it the menu on load up did not show up, at all, so of course I opened the console to see if there were any obvious errors I could fix and I saw "Unable to load: Maplist.txt". And so of course I went straight to the trusty Google to see what the issue was and what the fix was but unfortunately I was flooded with forum posts from a year or 2 ago all which had no real fixes posted. Considering the time difference I thought it might be a localized issue and simply deleted the local content of my game and re-installed it. Convinced that would work I opened Garrys mod once again and of course I had the same exact issues. So after uninstalling and re-installing a few time I contacted Steam support and they were kind enough to reply to me 6 days later to tell me that I should contact Garrys mod support not steam game support, so I did so and Still have not heard a response from them to this day. I sent that support email over 2 weeks ago. So I loaded HL2 and all its little buddies with TF2 and Portal and all of those games had similar issues with the menus being screwed up. The menus for HL2 and Portal would show but any sub menu would not show and text on any buttons. So I removed all of those games at once and updated my Direct X and Graphics driver. Then re-downloaded and re-installed HL2:ep1'ep2'lc, Portal, Garrys mod and TF2 while TF2 was workable without the menu text the other games really werent and of course Garrys Mod was completely worthless since I had NO menu at all. Since then I have completely uninstalled all of my games (steam and non steam) re-updated Direct x and Graphics Driver and then Re-downloaded Steam and HL2, etc etc.. But I am still having the same issues. I have seen where there was a recent update that "broke" the pirated accounts and I can assure you that I bought Garrys Mod a long time ago through steam legitimately and I am sure I could find the Receipt to prove it if that is the issue. Can someone Please Help me I have tried everything I know to fix this and cant seem to do so. I just want to play my good old Garrys mod again.

I think the maplist.txt error is unrelated. The error about creating the font is probably the issue.

I appreciate the suggestion but it didn't work.
I sure hope I can get some help on fixing this issue.
