Um, Hi y'all. I've been having a couple of problems with garrys mod for some time now, both before and after the 117 update.
The ones I've had before the 117 update are:
-I keep spawning under the maps.
-I crash sometimes when loading a singleplayer half life 2 maps (namely the town center part, but I havn't tried them all).
-Some singleplayer maps seem to mess up the breen-screens.
And for the ones I've had after the 117 update (Aside from the phong problem) are:
-HDR doesn't seem to turn off. To be more precise, I turn off HDR from the video options and bloom effects, but the lighting effects stay as tho HDR is still on (This also happens when I have HDR [b]ON[/b] aswell, obviously)
I would like to point out all of my valve (and other games, period) and garrys mod are all legit.
If You could help that would be great. And I'm sorry If I worded this wrong.

Addons: I have quite alot. but most of them are ragdolls and such and i've had them before the maps acted up.

Also to add to my problems it seems that my tools keep messing up whenever I load up a save.
So if anyone could help with that too that would be great.
Save Games are well known for breaking after a Garry's Mod update. It would be much better to use Adv Duplicator.
As for the "Breencast" screens in HL2 Singleplayer there is no fix for that.
Most of the other problems could be fixed with a "clean install" of Garry's Mod
To perform a clean install of Garry's Mod go to steam/steamapps/<steamname>/garrysmod and rename it to garrysmodold or something like that then start up Garry's Mod, it will generate a new garrysmod folder.

I'm pretty sure I can't use adv.Dupe on the whole map (unless there's an update i'm missing).
As for the other things, I tried doing the clean install, and on the new install the above problems didn't appear (as far as I can tell), however, When I place some of my old files back, the problems came back aswell.
I'm pretty sure It has somthing to do with some of the folders I placed, so are there any certain folder i'm [b]not[/b] supposed to put back?

Well you should start clean again then add your addons one at a time, testing to see if the bug still happens after you add it. If the problems reappear you know which addon causes the problem and remove it.
