We're a semi-serious role playing community with a couple of years role play experience. The game mode Phase four can be quite overwhelming when you first enter the server with many things to choose from, many would compare this DarkRP or call it just a fancy rip off, although personally I strongly disagree the choice to yours. So what does it do differently from DarkRP? For starters it's not rubbish, filled with 13 year olds prop killing everything in sight or have people that can't even fathom the word role play. Phase Four is all about the freedom, this freedom lets you create a character based on entirely your imagination, it doesn't rely on a story such as HL2RP does. Create your own back story for your character and tell your tale to the other players throughout the server. Create a physical description for your character, when creating a character those who are not familiar with Open Aura you can describe in detail what you want your character to look like through words and figures, how tall is your character? Any facial marks? A worrying look on their face? It's all down to you, you create the character you control him, progress from being a nobody, gather money to buy the best gear, create an alliance in-game and work together and become the most powerful faction, upgrade your weapons and armor to become the most deadly personal, choose what role you want to play in the world, as they're no set roles you make your own! Do you want to be a watcher of the streets, keeping people out of trouble? Or plan to attack the top faction and steal their gear? The choice is all down to you.

Phase Four is basicly an RP gamemode where you create a character and you decide what he or shes back story is then you develop your character in-game through that, different personalities all talking to each whilst Rping can be interesting at times.
You hardly answered his question. Give us some plot details, backstory. It's kind of important to roleplay.

Phase Four isn't meant for serious roleplay.
You don't need to know the details the play the game.

Question: Is there a background canon or an RP direction?
Answer: No. We're a nonserious RP community without a set canon. Come in and do whatever the hell you like.
That's sort of like the DarkRP approach: you have a general setting and genre (the very ambiguous "Apocalyptic Horror" genre), come in and populate it with whatever, we don't care. Though, since you don't have a set canon nor much in the way of instruction or direction, stating the genre (Apocalyptic Horror) is rather pointless, since players have the ability to steer the RP towards whatever they want to, no matter how unrelated or pointlessly clusterfucked it is. But I guess since it's nonserious RP, it doesn't really matter.

PhaseFour is basically DarkRP under the aegis of OpenAura, it's basically just farming to craft more equipment and brag around about it, occasionally killing new players "just 4 the lolz".
Ontop of that the server looks like it lacks of a proper canon, definatly not interesting.
This looks like just another generic Phase Four server that offers nothing new to the world of roleplay.
Not impressed.

That depends on who owns it, at DarkDrive the rule set is alot more different to the standard rules.
No offence these lot look like they don't know how to script so I am assuming it is just the plain phase four gamemode
You might want to use another font for the text on the video next time. :confused:
