Ok.. So where to begin?

HI all,

Always having a urge to create my own little movies.. I finally saw this and realised what GMOD can do......(Yes I've lived under a rock).

Now, I have:
GMOD
FRAPS
A few movie editing packages i.e MS Movie Maker, Corel Visual Studio.

How do I make videos like that above though? Obisouly alot of pratice and hours come in to it.. but I'm not sure where to start. After browsing google and YOUTUBE I only seem to get 12 yeard old tutorials showing how to place a camrea, a NPC and then record when viewing in camrea and shaking a NPC RAG DOLL around with the gun for movement......... Not my cup of tea of a movie!

Can someone please advise how I begin, what I really need and how to start of at least creating something that is not a ragdoll being shaken around for dancing movement.......................

What do you mean by videos like that,as In first Person or what.

Well, how the animation is done, the movements? Lip syncs. The hands in view when running and fighting etc.....

Most of it was greenscreening The animations Weren't animations It's hard to explain I know how he Did most of the movie just can't explain it that well,Add me on steam and maybe We can talk more there.

According to his Desription he used mainly GMOD, the movement was done by him for most of it and not a NPC.
and he used 1 add-on
?!?!
I dont know where to begin.. I mean,,,, the camrea in gmod.. how does that create footage or move lips or anything?

I mean, does he just place a gmod camrea, move the npc slightly and press F12 for screen shot, then move it again and another screenshot etc etc..........
THen put screenshots together and u have a NPC moving realsiticly.

How does the NPC fight and talk and move? 100's of screenshots and poses?

It is a stop motion editor. It works really well and I have made a first person animation. Easy to weld the camera in a good place on the rag doll's body and start moving.

It also has a ghost of were the objects included in animation last were so if you drop your rag doll you know were it last was. Or you could click on the last frame to move everything back where it last was.
