HyperGaming Network has been around as a gaming network community since 2002. Currently we host S.T.A.L.K.E.R Roleplay and Fallout Roleplay. S.T.A.L.K.E.R RP is currently the oldest one available. We always allow free and limitless character development, however there are a few restrictions for certain kind of characters, because we had issues with them in past. Obviously common sense is required when making and developing a character.

[release]The canon[/release]
The East Central Commonwealth was one of the thirteen commonwealths of the pre-war United States of America. Created in the early 21st century, it was comprised of the former states of Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
What you should know:
THIS SERVER TAKES PLACE IN 2236.
-The Brotherhood of Steel is in between what it is in FO3 and FO: NV. They are not as secretive as they are in NV but they are also not welcoming to wastelanders like they are in FO3. To them, technology acquisition is their purpose for existing and it is their only purpose. While they won't shoot wastelanders on sight they also are not going to be best friends with you either. So watch yourself.
-The Enclave have not made their presence known yet. You might have heard stories from a man who knew a man who knew a man about strange flying machines and men in strange armor but those are just stories at this point. No one knows for sure that the Enclave exist and they certainly have never seen the technology the Enclave has access to. Should you catch a glimpse of an Enclave soldier in game, it should scare you to no end.
-Caesars legion has not been formed yet
-Project purity is currently unmanned and never has been manned post-war (and you likely have never heard of it because you are currently in Kentucky and not Washington DC).
-NCR and the Followers of the Apocalypse are not in our wasteland, as they are too far west. It is likely you have heard of the NCR and it wouldn't be completely unheard of to have some sort of knowledge of the Followers of the Apocalypse.
-The Wasteland of Kentucky's name comes from its state nickname, Bluegrass.

We currently are developing Star Wars Roleplay . If you're interested in this project, you should see the forum section for it.
looks nice.
Before this becomes a shit storm. I'm usually not the best fan of HGN, community wise. But this server actually is good, the roleplay is good, and the administration behind it is (visually), good. Even if you don't like HGN, I suggest you try out this server, it's worth it.
Awesome crafting interfaces and customization (The HUD), its a really good server in my opinion as well.
This does look interesting. But that is probably because it is a change from the usual OpenAura/ Blueprint/ whatever the fuck the current popular expensive rehash is HL2 "roleplay". But having to register just to download a content pack? For shame :colbert:

I'll link you to it if you want. You don't have to register.
Actually it is Blueprint, but besides the main menu and character creation you can't tell.

I'm sorry you feel that way. However you need need to make a forum account to apply for Tooltrust and such anyways.

That much I can make sense of, at least you then have a central place to manage users.
Actually it is Blueprint, but besides the main menu and character creation you can't tell.
Actually it's based on Nexus. Blueprint is the version after Nexus. So it's the "legal" version of kuromeku's script. It would be unfair to call the base nexus now since it's heavily edited. This variant is called WorldScript.
I remember being attacked by a ghoul, raped and then eaten.

I've been a long time member of HGN and I STILL think it is retarded of SilverKnight to require that but what are you going to do?
Good roleplay, mostly bad community.
Good roleplay, mostly bad community.
I haven't seen you playing on HGN at all. I'm not sure how can you judge our community when you are not involved in it. I appreciate the comment anyways.
Your website looks like it hasn't been changed since 2002, where every web developer and their grandmother wanted "Web 2.0"-looking sites, AKA rounded menus, centered layouts and marquees. Meh.
Don't feel like registering to get the content pack. Plus, I've never played NV nor even beaten Fallout 3, so I know I can't make an assumption on the server itself. A Fallout RP community with someone who has barely played the Fallout games? Might as well go to TnB if I feel like being bashed by an elitist.
I'll leave this alone for now.

I have registered on forums, so much drama going on there usually.
I also know few people from there, some are nice and the rest of them are very annoying drama queens.
I'll join when the server has more players, I have had the content pack for few months now.

This server is set in 2236, which is between Fallout and Fallout 2.

Is there anything wrong with that?
Nothing ,good community by the way.

Thank you for the kind comment, sir.
Do tell us your in-game/character's name so we could recognize you.

I never really played i just like the community.
I've always found HGN to put way too much focus on scriptplay whilst having a very poor roleplay enviroment with cardboard characters. Essentially an MMORPG. Shame.
I would only agree partly on the cardboard characters.
Enough players understand well enough how to act if they were in Fallout.
As for the Stalker server, they act a lot better.
The only issues with characters are certain players that are either new, darkrpers, or just people who care to much for items.
As for the Massive Multiplayer part of MMORPG, I disagree.
:v:
Standards always differ, ofcourse.
There's quite a lot of drama going on in HGN.
Reviving this thread.
Because FalloutRP is worth it.

With shame I must admit we are currently going through some problems. They should be fixed soon, it's only a matter of time. Our Fallout Roleplay server will soon meet some changes.
My thread at HGN forums, posting this here since it's quite an important update.

Canon Changes
Basic canon changes:
Additional timeline
* 2242 - Chosen One died in an attempt to destroy Enclave.
* 2255 - Enclave becomes the most dominant faction on the West coast, gaining over a thousand elite troops.
* 2256, September - Enclave division consisting of soldiers and scientists are dispatched to the east to populate the Raven Rock base.
* 2256, December - Enclave discovers that an organization known simply as "The Institute" is one of the most technologically advanced factions in the American wasteland. Several squads are sent to its headquarters in the New England Commonwealth to strike a deal, located in the ruins of Boston.[/li]
* 2256, May - Enclave troops secretly settle near the Commonwealth and slowly form their own sinister plot to steal technology from "The Institute" for themselves.[/li]
* 2256, May - A scouting unit of the now weakened Brotherhood of Steel arrives in Boston and settles in an abandoned fallout bunker. It starts its own investigation on the Commonwealth, as well as "The Institute" and its tech, not yet aware of Enclave's presence.
Time: 2256
Location: New England Commonwealth, close to the actual Commonwealth
-rp_salvation - The heart of the New England Commonwealth, in the governing city of Boston
http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=72450
-rp_apocalypse - Outskirts of the Commonwealth, somewhere in eastern Massachusetts
http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=109989
Factions
Enclave returns as the 'main antagonist'. The division holed up in one of the Institute's buildings. This division is definitely not the most battle-hardened and experienced one.
The Institute while not an actual faction, they are the organized power of the Commonwealth. They are known for capturing people for their tests. These people don't have a strong military presence if any at all.
There will be a few event chars who belong into the Institute. Usually they will give missions to wastelanders.
The Resistance of the Commonwealth are people against The Institute which invaded the Commonwealth. Resistance doesn't seem to be hostile to the scouting newcomers in power armor and instead is planning on using them against the dictatorship.
Brotherhood of Steel has never shown presence in the New England before. Four squads of different specializations arrived at New England recently to research and investigate the area.
Wipe and a minor change to economy
Wipe is vital to stabilize the economy. Some IC and "personal" character items will be refunded, since we aren't actually disappearing anywhere, but rather moving the story to a different (and more interesting) location.
I also want traders to have 'cash' or '0' flags, because currently it's cheaper for traders to buy items from T-menu rather than buying from wastelanders. This causes the economy to stop because all looted items will collect dust in safeboxes. Numerous events will be done by the (hopefully new) administration team.
Administration
We need a more active administration team. At one point it was just me alone, it's quite a hell since someone needs to do those events, loot drops and generally entertain the server population. I request an ability for SVs to pick operators so that we could handpick those who are actually GOOD.
Factions, forums
If this will be considered at all, I want correct sub-forums for the Resistance, Enclave and the Institute (which will serve as an IC faction, occasionally events will be announced there). I want the unnecessary factions removed completely (ECR, LEON Science, The Red Militia, Vault 10, Boones)
Ending our current story
For those who seriously want to keep their characters, I will make unique events for them. During these events they will eventually end up at The New England Commonwealth.

It's a good server.
