I need to see what your doing? You could be not selecting a numpad number for the direction? If you have the same number for backwards and forwards it will go nowhere...

Besides the point I have my numpad on the right keys! When i first got gmod I could use the tires just fine. NOW they wont even budge.
Well i can only suggest reinstalling the game or running verify integrity of game cache...

No reason to reinstall. Is your friction setting set too high? What's the torque at?

If its acting wierd then there could be something wrong with tools or an addon could be causing conflicts. Without pictures you can't exactly see the settings but from his responses he isn't a newb.
Is it just tyres or other tools aswell?
Try resetting all binds.
