Does this server have a virus? Needing external go-ahead. - Garry's Mod

I'm trying to go play with one of my friends on QIG's PERP server. But he fucking refuses to download the content because he is sure that the admins put viruses into the content pack. His reason is basically "Humans are assholes.". Just play on the server and he'll eventually come around. And if he doesn't? Get a new friend.

As long as the content pack is ON the workshop and thats where you download it, the worst that can happen is they rebind your keys to say "I suck dick". His computer wont combust by downloading a workshop addon

Its not a workshop addon though, some of the content is a "Download from browser" addon.

I mean, to be honest, he does kinda have a point. There have been some pretty nasty exploits that have found recently. For instance, Willox found one awhile ago that allows clientside lua to access any file on your computer. This could be used to steal saved website passwords, for instance. Doesn't cl_downloadfilter none cause you to download nothing? Have your friend do that and join. I would think that SOMEONE would say something if the content was infected. Here's the content thread on their website tho if you want to check it out. There are no Lua files in any of those files at all. There is literately 0 chance of having your GMod messed up from it.
