HL2 themed DarkRP Server - Garry's Mod

Weren't it cool if somebody could make such a server, because i never saw an english one?

Not weird look at the french one, it's cool and populated and not like a weird darkrp edit..

It would be pretty easy tbh and wouldn't require any core editing on DarkRP's part.... You simple get a custom HUD/F4 menu tweaked to suit HL2RP and away you go. Add a few jobs that match HL2RP, reduce walk/run speed in darkrp config settings..... Would not be hard at all.

Actually, HL2 Themed DarkRP is surprisingly fun if you don't take it too seriously. There was an English server for it a long time ago but it is gone now. I tried out that French server once, it was pretty fun. I can recall leading a charge of French children playing as zombies out into the plaza where we proceeded to fuck shit up. I then got demoted to a citizen and from then on got harassed by a bunch of units who kept telling me to "Circulez s'il vous plaît", shortly after that I got permanently banned for speaking English during an execution of a rebel. Yep, good times.

If your wondering why not use nutscript or anything, I chose it because in my opinion, nutscript and clockwork, they have this invisable ruleset, and usually when i go on a non serious clockwork, Well, RTD up the ass. IMO its not fun, but darkrp has the same rules, but its less serious. You dont expect a SUPER CERAL HL2 RP, and thats half the fun in it. Another HL2 themed darkrp, ALG which was also shut down fucked it up, and went backwards and well, SUPER CERAL HL2 DARKRP. It wasnt serious at first, but slowly became serious untill bunnyhopping was bannable and then became serious. Because of that, most of it was just a DM with suppliers becoming rich. But yeah, HL2 darkrp servers which arnt serious usually are pretty fun.

In the moment there isn't any english speaking hl2 themed darkrp server like the french one, i wonder why.

Because English people aren't dumb and don't run stupid ideas on shitty gamemode "bases" like DarkRP, there's things like NutScript for that.

Huh, interesting. Monetized or not I guess I will give it a try, seems like a fun thing to let go and mess around on.
