I feel like making a second server and I've been having trouble deciding on the gm. Is there any demand for buildrp? It looks like a fun one but I don't want to pay for an empty server due to no demand

We hosted one for awhile. But as soon as we started to faze out non custom content to be replaced with custom content it completely shit itself and died.
Build RP? No try to run a gamemode that doesn't include RP. No offense but the word RP is already spread out in so many ways.
Try just a build server; make it a "no dupes or e2's that arent your own" kinda thing. Attract a mature more advanced crowd.
or go with 13 year olds and make an RP server that noone will ever be on because you make all your buddies admins and their actions are unregulated so end result is everyone hates your server and it ends up dead anyways.

I don't have any experience with build servers but this sounds like you have a death wish for your server. Attracting a "mature audience" in Gmod is like spotting a unicorn.

You contradicted yourself; get on some "serious" build servers and you'll see that there are many unicorns
