• Prop-kill gamemode thread trying to get people interested

So I noticed there are threads about RP threads about AFC building ect so why not make a thread about the propkill gamemode. We are needing more players (very very low playercount on all servers) so I thought I would make a thread to get people interested. Feel free to post other things related to the PK gamemode here. (Note before you read any further this has nothing to do with DarkRP or Sandbox trolls who call themselves propkillers). What is the propkill gamemode? It's quiet simple, instead of fighting with conventional weapons in other gamemodes, in the prop-kill gamemode props are used to fight each other. But it's a lot more to that. Props are also used to propel yourself to fly which is also known as "Propsurf" or "propfly", you must have fast reactions and very good aim to be able to hit enemies who are also flying around trying to kill you. There are three teams red, blue and "battler", It is a deathmatch where you can either be part of one of the teams and work together or as a battler who will be against everyone. You can also spectate if you don't feel like playing. Here is an example of a propkill 1V1 which is when one player can challenge another player to a one versus one battle and everyone else will spectate it. Often the battle is the first to 15 kills but less frag limits can be selected in the fight menu. Often 1V1s are intense and can be lots of fun! Tactics In propkill there are two main methods of playstyles. "Birding" And "grounding". Birding refers to being like a "bird" in the way a player who is birding would be propflying a lot as opposed to "grounding" in which the player keeps propsurfing to a minimum and attacks from the ground. Both have their strenghts and weaknesses, birding often gives you the advantage of changing position quickly and you can be faster than the enemies prediction so they can not hit you, However if you surf too fast your shots become inaccurate and you are also prone to "antibirding" (shooting people out of the sky with props). Grouding gives you the advantage of a steady accurate aim but you are exposed if you do not shield. Shielding refers to placing a prop as a shield to defend from attacks. What it is NOT (darkrp) The propkill gamemode is not the same as DarkRP/sandbox trolls who claim they are propkillers. Yes they can kill people with props but they have no skill and if they were faced with someone else who was using a prop (a real propkiller) they would be instantly defeated as they know no tactics or control of prop_physics. Please disregard these people as propkillers and dislike any video you see on youtube (lostinplace and others) that show people who have no control over the props they are throwing calling themselves "propkillers". People who say all propkillers are trolls and rule breakers well you could say with the same logic that all deathmatchers are rule breakers and trolls because killing people randomly in DarkRP is RDM. Just because somethings against the rules in one gamemode doesn't mean if you do it in another gamemode where its allowed makes you not a troll. Clientside scripts The use of clientside scripts such as wallhack and ESP are permitted in the propkill gamemode because of how fast paced it is to keep track of the enemy opponents. Also sometimes a script to do a 180 automatically can be useful in propkill. However speedhacks and aimbots are NOT allowed/permitted. (An aimbot wouldn't even work in propkill anyway because aimbots are designed for guns not props). I like this gamemode alot :D
Yeah, i hope the server(s) get(s) more attention too. Propkilling is also very fun, (or that is my opinion) at first i thought propkilling was just something individuals could do, to troll admins and player's on servers, but then i found that it had a really nice community, "serverwatch" is probably one of the nicest people i have met, he actually want's to spend time, teaching other people how to do it properly, which i dont see many people do anymore. If it weren't for him i wouldn't know what propkilling is, and that it had such a good community.
I forgot to mention we are on Davids EU propkill most days at 178.32.57.83:27018
🔫
I will make sure to jump on it when I have time.
Interested!
Thanks guys, I forgot to mention it is best to bind props before joining the server and learning to propkill and propsurf here are some tutorials if you have any trouble feel free to contact me
