Someone make a basewars server

IM TRYNA PLAY BASEWARS and theres no decent servers out other than lagnation which i dont really play. Wheres the new basewars servers at?
and don't just lock it and leave it there

there aren't any truly working copies of basewars available to the public except 16 byte's basewars which costs 15 bucks

Is that close enough to what Basewars was?

That sounds like a lot of fun. Basewars isn't really like that, though. It was just: Build a base > Print money > Raid other bases. It used to be a lot of fun, but all of the decent servers died off.

If I wasn't spending all my money trying to fix my damned pc I would definitely host one, if i found a decent copy of the gamemode.

not really, basewars was basically darkrp with all the actual RP removed and focused entirely on printing and raiding. The thing that set it apart was the sheer amount of shit you could get, from autoturrets to generators, superweapon factories and combat drugs that did things like give you double jump, fire bullets etc. It was really fun but extremely poorly coded hence the original being nearly unfixable in gmod 13

the main thing that killed it is communities that hosted it as a donation farm and had no real clue how it was supposed to work and how to plug the multiple exploits present in the old gamemode as a result of sandbox's systems changing a bunch (speaking of stupid admins i even saw a basewars server with NLR last year...like, what the actual fuck?)

Lag nation is like the last one left. BWR died out and all the others dont have anything. and lagnation is sooooo fun.
