Looking for a reliable dedicated server host - having a hard time picking one.

So I'm looking for an affordable and reliable dedicated server host to host gameservers on. I've spent hours today, looking at different hosts and their reviews. I've nailed them down to choosing between one of these, but I'm having such a hard time choosing:
https://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/game/ - I've heard so many good things about OVH, here on Facepunch and on other sites, but lately they seem to be getting a ton of bad reviews.
https://www.hetzner.de/dk/hosting/produktmatrix/rootserver
https://villagerhost.net/servers.html
Have you tried any of these providers and what's your experience with them?
I appreciate any help!
I have to ask, do you really need a dedicated server? How many game servers are you going to be running?
An OVH VPS would be a lot cheaper and still give you pretty good performance.
Or Ramnode
I vouch for OVH.
Don't ever use hetzner for game servers. Your server could end up being down for 2-3 days just because of a small DDos. (They will shut it down, even if the DDos doesnt manage to do it)
If OVH is too expensive for you, then go with http://www.soyoustart.com/ie/ Owned by OVH, same datacenters, network and everything. But other terms and not permanent ddos protection (ddos protection only activated while you get ddosed)
https://villagerhost.net Seems like an unserious company. Their grammar is awful and they try to make null routing look like something good http://puu.sh/lCkbS/895bb5d697.png
I've used OVH for a while. Started on their Enterprise dedicated which performed average and I've now moved onto their Gaming range which performs very well. It's strong against attacks even though they aren't common.
If you expect to get competition, you shouldn't use SYS as their "DDoS Protection when we detect an attack" isn't very useful for gameservers. It can easily be five minutes before their mitigation kicks in, which is critical minutes.
I haven't had any positive experience with Hetzner. Their protection against attacks are.. meh, and their VPS' in Germany has a worse ping response than my OVH VPS in France has when pinged from my home in Denmark..

I probably don't need a dedicated server yet, but i don't like to be limited :P
- Thank you everyone for your feedback. Looks like I'm going with OVH's dedicated gaming plan. - I appreciate your time!
Glad you're using OVH. Good luck. I personally use a VPS for all my gameservers.
Xenon Servers is good

hasn't been for quite awhile time traveler
Personally I would go with bf partners due to their out standing support and they are easy to use. I've used nfoservers for years with out problems

I've had a dedicated server with these guys for over a year, barely any problems, and for the ones I've had they've helped me out very quickly. Their prices seem pretty high but they usually have sales on such as this: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1530681&p=9580500&highlight=hostvenom#post9580500 (contact them to get E3-1230v2 for $89/month)

That sale is pretty shit when you can get a 4790k at OVH for the same price. And I think the OP want a server that's in the EU.

Do you really think a small host like HostVenom can compete with OVH? We are talking about 240M+ revenue in 2014 alone.
If they tried to match OVH pricing they would go out of business within months.
i would say OVH i havent had too many issues with them and they got pretty good customer service

Im not going to buy a server from an expensive small company just to support them.

I'd say it's reasonable, HostVenom has also had sales down to $79/month, but I'm not aware of any going on at the moment. A year ago they were doing a lot of sales like that and offered free 4Gbps DDoS protection (I know it's not much but it's something), unfortunately I've been noticing that their sales are getting worse and they no longer offer free DDoS protection.

HostVenom does price match (within reason).

Whether they're small or not doesn't really matter. Quality of service and price is what's important to me.
