What's the best roleplay gamemode for Garry's Mod?

Since I don't have permission to use the search button I figured I'd post a thread myself.
I've been playing the LiquidRP gamemode for a while and I want to change it up a little bit, can anyone tell me a better roleplay gamemode that most of facepunches gmod roleplayers play? From what I've heard you guys dislike darkrp.
I've only played DarkRP.
What can I say, it's fun with the right people.
- Semi-Serious and Lite RP's is Cops N' Robbers which prolongs over the period of 2-3 Hours.
- 'Serious RP' is Cops N' Robbers which prolongs over months and you'll usually end up cybering with some sexually deprived moderator to get anywhere.
I may be coming off harsh, but the entire 'roleplay' community is a goddamn joke.
HL2RP
It's not a matter of the gamemode, the players are the problem.
Darkrp for private community stuff
Perp for public
CityRP
Well in our communities case, its basically a Semi-Serious Gamemode and works magic.
Personally, DarkRP was fun in the good ole' days, having been an admin on a popular server i was witness to endless counts of RDM, and constant rule breaking, but that was the fun of it. All i had to do was whip out the ban hammer, and man i sure pulled a muscle or two.
But nowadays, if you are interested in a fun yet more resource managing game mode, i recommend CityRP.
None.

City RP isn't resource managing... It's farm contra, shoot those which try to take contra, eat food. Rinse, wash, and repeat.

But why are the players acting up? Maybe it's because the gamemode instills that being a 'minge' gets you places and actual RP will negatively effect you in the long run. You can't always blame the players, but for damn sure you can blame the developers for being lazy.
Joey, you are right when you cut open the actual game mode and look at it on each level, you are basing it on a server which hosts it in a certain way, but the thing is that it is customizable and expandable, unlike DarkRP.
Obviously the decisions of the owners/staff of the server contradict the direction in which the game mode is layed out. In the case you are speaking of, yes it is based around the same fundamentals of money printers / weed plants.
When Gmod 13 Comes out, it would be foolish to not assume that future gamemodes will arise that are far more superior.

Most RP Game modes are based on having the set objective to earn the most money and have the most of this and that, which in reality, is how life is. Some people achieve it, some people do not, and some others find exploits or ways to bypass things to have an advantage.
Cannot wait for a certain custom game mode to come out, to perhaps see a change in this pattern.

It doesn't quite matter what gamemode you're using as long as you're RPing with friends.
Friends is the most important thing. If you can make friends, do so.
But just going into a random server as a lone wolf is suicide unless you're a rather social animal.
I'll be honest... I'm personally waiting for BBRP.
Applejack.
I really enjoyed Applejack/Cider, when the VentMob server was around.
I would go with a good OpenAura, preferably Severance. Something other than the regular same fuckin' thing over and over again like HL2RP.
I like DarkRP the best. PERP is just kinda boring for me, in my opinon.
Tiramisu?
PERP
OA Hl2rp
its REALLY underrated, probably because of its creator that liked to charge 200$ for it. but now its 30, dont worry. its not as bad as ppl say it is
Yeah it is. It's boring as fuck to me. I'd rather have PERP and even that is boring the shit out of me.
No gamemodes, no scripts. Just a bunch of good players and a gamemaster.

you might aswell want to go out there
I disagree. I'm expressing my opinion, answering the question OP asked with the answer I find correct.
HL2RP or PERP
-snip-
Sandbox.

Woohoo.
Build RP is surprisingly fun take =OLG= for example not too many players and theres always respectful players on there and admins who actually help

Enjoy the server! Invite your friends to have a great time on PERP!
DTRP, which is a new gamemode. The only problem is that it has allot of downloads which discourages people from waiting to get in.
209.222.89.98:27035 - is the only server that runs it.
