Back in the day there were plenty of GMStranded servers with custom content (some servers would have different features) with a nice variety of maps, and even there'd be servers that would make new survival gamemodes (Like Stargate Stranded or something like that). Nowadays the survival genre is basically dead and limited to Zombie Survival and 4 vanilla GMStranded servers on the same map. I even thought about making my own gamemode (I started several prototypes) with a more complex and extensive gameplay (and probably release it to the public), but seeing the scene I don't know if it's worth the work.
What happened?
Darkrp and its various sub-gamemodes happened.
It's much more profitable to charge children for sith ranks in starwars rp than it is to run a stranded server.

problem is, if you can't afford to host/rent the server for it entirely on your own, you'll need donations, and donations only come from popular copycat material

Funily enough, I hesitate a bit before making a gamemode because lately I've been putting too much time in developing addons for a DarkRP server that failed miserably :v (even trying simple things like opening a classic darkrp server didn't work).
But... I might give it a shot and try to make the gamemode.

Underdone? The one in the video I believe - I've heard of the game-mode but I've never played it. I'm also looking for a decent stranded server to play on too. If I have to join another Roleplay variation I think i'm going to contract Autism.
