looking to switch server host been using Xenon but they are trash

NFO is decent. ViLayer has some good as well. You could always look at self hosting it off of a dedicated server if you want.

The real question is are you looking for budget hosting, or high quality hosting?

their ddos protection is piss poor for one. skids who got caught by my anti cheat frequently took my server offline for an hour or two. their support also takes a while and usually offers little to no help.
Don't buy game hosting, get a VPS and manage it yourself. You get much better performance, upgradability, and you can do more with them.
VPS resources usually aren't dedicated so you need to be careful about that

You're all a bunch of morons for hitting that post with a dumb, considering StonedPenguin, Corv and myself are all hosted with GMC, within the top 5 servers.
I'm interested to know why every single suggestion is on an overcrowded service all living off OVH or re selling off some other large data centre and having your server completely blend in with the crowd of an [B]extremely large majority of everyone[/B] else's servers and therefore nobody joins.
Obviously DDoSing can be an issue, but the situation isn't that dire meaning you have to be on the biggest networks in the world, which can't block everything either.
My advice is to go for a small company not related too gaming but provide a solid service on a good network with basic mitigation and the company with not many customers.
I literally get next minute support from the technician, not waiting a few days jumping through multiple people to get to someone helpful who messaged the actual DC or knows what there doing.

I didn't vote his post dumb because I think GMC is a bad service, it honestly looks pretty nice. It's just that every time one of these threads pops up Penguin is one of the first people to post with his damn referral link.

Haha, I perfectly understand, but that system is in place to make him money to refer you over to a host which will prevent you from getting DDoS'd. I don't think it's all that bad.
He's basically turning a profit from helping you.
