I was looking into making myself a custom gamemode I would like some tips.
First off is it even a good idea to even bother to take the time to make the gamemode, and what are the pros and cons?
Also should I create it from scratch, or maybe use DarkRP as the base pros and cons?
Depends on the gamemode
If its RP based then work with darkrp as a base
if its something else entirely then you may need to make it from scratch if it doesnt already exist.
It's like a deathmatch gamemode or war type, it's going to be a lot like PlanetSide 2 feel.
From scratch would be the best idea. If possible search and see if someone else has tried something similar and try to learn from there code and see what they did.
