Hi guys, I have a little difficulty understanding why I have the same fps (using flat grass as reference map) no matter I'm playing with all video settings on high or low (including filters and video sync etc).
I'm using MacBook Pro (early 2011), 2,2ghz Intel Core i7 - 8GB DDR3 Video AMD RAdeon HD 6750M 1024 MB OS Yosemite 10.10.05
The test has been made in windowed mode @1024x640
I get around 20-25 fps but if I pause the game, I see that I get around 160 fps (the test is done by standing still in the same position).
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks in advance
Would you mind sending me a screenshot of your settings? you may want to look forward to enabling multicore rendering for a starter.
Yep it's enabled

Have you checked to see if it is any of your addons causing this? Also, this is an old fix from way back in GoldSRC, but try disabling VSync if there is an option for it (i'm operating out of memory atm).
However I'd like to point out that you are trying to play on a Macbook, which could very well be your problem.
You could try lowering the resolution. Your view won't be good but you'll get used to it; I have the same issue.
Hi, it depends on what maps you're playing. If you're playing in DarkRP, you will obviously lag with your macbook. Because the map is high in graphics and you can't do anything about it. Some other maps, will make your computer run at 200 fps, some 30. The reason why you get lots of FPS when you pause the game, is because you're in the menu. The menu is not considering anything of the game and the FPS shown are those for the menu. Your menu is running at 160 FPS but your game not. Although , There is alot of mods to improve your FPS just go check Google you'll find some. Hope I helped you! ;)
